These need a category all their own... completely different techniques and mindset, taking my cue from nature. Click to see Finished pieces, Dots, etc., Metallics, Sculpturals, or Florals.
![]() Twirled ocelot frit on a drop-shaped bead.
![]() Some snakeskin teardrop-shaped beads. Rubino over silver over copper green.
![]() My organic beads are getting better. Silvered ivory with opaque and transparent greens. Etched for a matte finish.
![]() Flames are organic, right? A manly-like necklace for my nephew.
![]() Lentil shaped bead made from ivory, intense black, and silver foil.
Experimenting with reduction frit... plus my first bicone. This shape is a real pain in the butt... but looks great with organics.
Another bicone, with a less successful frit exercise...
![]() My oxygen puttered out while I was finishing the shaping on this bead, but it's still pretty cool...
![]() This dichroic bead reminds me of an underwater seascape, and the process with which I appled the dichro was VERY organic. I just munged it on there.
![]() My first organic bead. This bead is so cool. It looks like a piece of polished marble. Unfortunately it is still stuck to the mandrel--hopefully I'll be able to get it off. But even if not, I learned so much watching this bead change as I, as they say on WC, boiled the SNOT out of it. (P.S. It did eventually come off the mandrel and I strung it on a leather cord for Brian. I made a similar one for Eric, and Rob if he wants one.)
